Meet our Missionaries
Drs. Lynn and Sharon Fogleman
After ten years of medical missionary service in Maua Methodist Hospital in Kenya and fourteen years at Red Bird Clinic in Beverly, Kentucky, these two United Methodist family physicians have felt God’s call to serve as cross-cultural witnesses for Jesus Christ in the new country of South Sudan. Their vision is to help train Sudanese community health workers to educate villagers in basic health practices. Lynn and Sharon expect these village health workers to pass on life-saving skills for many years to come. In relationship built through Community Health Evangelism, the Foglemans seek to make disciples of Jesus who will, in turn, become disciple-makers. Lynn and Sharon have three grown children (The Mission Society – www.themissionsociety.org/goodnews).
Joy Sudbrink
Joy has been a nurse for twenty-five years. She was in hospital nursing for the majority of those years in intensive care and emergency. God gave me a passion for missions in the 1990’s. She took YWAM Discipleship Training School in 1997 and took Strategic Missions in 2000. After this, she went on staff with YWAM to the nation of Azerbaijan. There, she ministers to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the Azerbaijan people through her work with Operation Mercy. She also works in Church Planting to make disciples of all nations and teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded.
